Find what the wagering multiplier applies to

Read the complete sentence around the multiplier. A requirement can refer to the bonus, the deposit plus bonus, or another stated amount. Those are different calculations.

A simple example

A hypothetical £20 bonus with a 30× requirement on the bonus means £600 of qualifying wagers. If a hypothetical offer instead applies 30× to a £20 deposit plus a £20 bonus, the figure is £1,200.

These totals describe turnover, not a fee or the amount you are expected to lose. They do not predict the outcome of play.

Read the conditions that change the calculation

Check the eligible games, each game’s contribution, any maximum bet, the deadline and excluded payment methods. A game that contributes only a fraction of each wager can make the headline multiplier a poor guide to the actual requirement.

Record these terms together. Comparing just one number from two offers can conceal a shorter deadline or a different set of eligible games.

Keep cash and bonus conditions separate

Look for a clear description of which balance is being used. In Great Britain, the Gambling Commission’s guidance on deposit withdrawals says deposit and bonus balances must be displayed separately, and explains the rules for withdrawing deposit funds while a bonus is active. Those provisions are specific to that regulatory context.

Do not assume an offer in another jurisdiction has identical terms. If a condition is ambiguous, ask the operator to identify the relevant clause before opting in, and retain the answer.

Compare the whole offer, including declining it

A bonus is optional. Compare the restrictions with the ordinary account terms, and consider whether the promotion adds conditions you would rather avoid. A larger advertised amount is not automatically a better choice.

Before making a decision, save the promotion page, full terms and date. Our future reviews will show those source details and separate an offer’s headline from its restrictions.
